FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Morgantown, WV – The Monongalia County Democratic Executive Committee will soon host a series of virtual town halls with nearly every Democratic candidate on the November ballot.

Shane Assadzandi, one of the committee’s Vice Chairs, will be the moderator of these events.

“We’re excited for this opportunity to spotlight our excellent slate of candidates,” said Assadzandi. “Unlike their opponents, our nominees don’t hide from constituents. Voters in Monongalia County, and across the state, will be able to hear directly from our Democratic candidates and learn why they are the best choice for West Virginia.”

Candidate Conversations will be streamed on Facebook Live, beginning on September 15th with Secretary of State nominee Natalie Tennant. The following week will feature Congressional nominees Paula Jean Swearengin and Natalie Cline, gubernatorial nominee Ben Salango, Commissioner of Agriculture nominee Senator Bob Beach, and Attorney General nominee Sam Brown Petsonk.

Town halls will continue through early October, concluding before the start of early voting. Most will occur on weekday evenings and all will begin at 6:30 pm.
