Evan was first elected to the House of Delegates in 2018. He is Minority Chair of the Energy and Manufacturing Committee, Minority Chair of the Natural Resources Committee, and serves on the Judiciary, Workforce Development, and Political Subdivisions committees. He founded Downstream Strategies in 1997 and serves as president. At Downstream Strategies, he works to build resilient communities, promote economic development, and protect the environment. Mr. Hansen has more than 30 years of experience consulting for government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and others on energy and water science and policy. He received a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from M.I.T. and an M.S. in Energy and Resources from U.C.-Berkeley.
